Your Home Business Practice is the Best Teacher!

How many home business seminars have you attended? How many webinars and conference calls have you watched and listened to? When you return to your home business do you practice the teachings you learnt? Or do you carefully stack your training manual safely away in your desk and carry on as before?

This is a very common problem with home business owners they don’t practice what they are taught, they get so obsessed with learning that they spend hours and hours on their training and never actually get around to practising and mastering the skills they are learning. So how can you overcome this?

• Limit your training to one hour a day and I would suggest you make it your first task of the day because your brain is fresh to absorb what you learn.
• When planning your training program, write down a list and prioritize the problems you are having in your home business so you know which skills you need to improve in.
• Choose the relevant trainings for your list and concentrate on one lesson a day.
• Write down in point form the most essential elements of the training.
• Any of the strategies that you are using that aren’t working, replace them with those you have learned from your training and apply them to your business.
• Work on perfecting one of the points daily and once you are confident in that particular skill, only then move on to the next point.

This may sound ridiculous but I advise you to set an alarm clock so you don’t go over the hour for your training, so often this happens when you are engrossed in a webinar, you lose all track of time and then you have no time to practice what you have learnt. Remember Practice is the best teacher in your home business and to have an educational marketing platform to follow with training webinars that take you step by step through a proven system is the key to building your home business.
